Our Story: Rooted in Care, Growing with Compassion

Founded in 2005, Living Tree of Life Home Health began with a simple but powerful vision — to provide quality, compassionate healthcare to families in the San Antonio community. The company was established by Judy, a devoted nurse, and her son Frank, who shared her deep belief that every patient deserves care that feels like family.

Judy saw firsthand the growing need for trustworthy home health services in San Antonio, where patients could recover, heal, and thrive in the comfort of their own homes. Her dedication to nursing and her personal connection to the community inspired her to plant the roots of what would become Living Tree of Life — a home health agency built on compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

In 2014, after experiencing the loss of Judy’s mother through hospice care, Judy and Frank expanded their mission by founding Amedia Hospice. The experience opened their eyes to the sacredness of end-of-life care and the peace that true hospice support can bring. They committed themselves to continuing that legacy — ensuring that families facing life’s most difficult moments receive not only expert clinical care but also emotional and spiritual comfort.

Together, Living Tree of Life Home Health and Amedia Hospice have served thousands of families across San Antonio and surrounding communities, offering a full spectrum of care that meets patients where they are — from recovery to comfort, from independence to dignity.
